Only Jesus can baptize us with the Holy Ghost and with fire. 2 Corinthians 5:17: Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.Only God was able to create us and only He is able to make us new creatures. Mark 2:7: Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Forgiveness that saves is the action of God and God alone. Forgiveness that keeps is only for believers. The book of First John was written to believers and it is only written FOR unbelievers. If you are an unbeliever reading First John, you are reading somebody else’s mail. Psalms 103:12: As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Mortal men cannot do that. John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 1 Timothy 2:5: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Only the Father can draw us to Jeus and only Jesus can be the mediator between us and the Father. To be continued. |
